Interview response letter and Resume
Interview response letter: Write a formal letter thanking some
fictitious employer for interviewing you for a job that you really want.
Provided for you is template for a business
letter with acceptable format. Use this format or another acceptable
format. In this letter you must:
- Include your address and name and the employers address and name at
the top of the letter.
- Mention to the employer interesting points of discussion during your
interview with three people. Use the names of the people in the letter.
(A tip: make it a point to remember the names of the people that you interview
with and use their names occasionally during the interview.)
- Be sure to convey that you want the job and that you are somehow qualified
for it.
- Mention again some of the most favorable topics of the interview. Mention
some new favorable information.
- Arrange the margins, indentations, etc. such that your letter attractively
covers 2/3 to 1 page of paper.
- There can be NO spelling or grammar errors!!
Resume: Create a resume using real information from your life
experiences. You can make the resume current or perhaps you can make it
reflect your expected achievements at some time in the future (after graduation?).
An example resume is given. You may use
this format or any other good format. However, you must:
- Arrange the resume to use one full page of text. Do not submit more
than one page. If your resume is shorter change margins, line spacing,
indentation, etc. to bring the resume to one full page.
- Use 2 font sizes, bold type, italicized type, underlined type somewhere
in your resume.
- Use hanging indents somewhere in your resume.
- Justify some sections of your resume.
- Spelling errors are ABSOLUTELY NOT TOLERATED in a resume.
